My Story - I am a mixed of an educator, a web developer, and a community builder.

More than a decade ago, I helped someone create "3 columns of equal width" on his website. Completing that project brought me immeasurable joy—not only because I finished the job and earned my first paycheck, but because I genuinely helped someone.

I thought it was perfect! But as I tackled various projects, I realized there was more to web development than just building "3 columns of equal width." 😅

Over the years, I’ve worked on numerous projects, gained substantial experience, and found joy not only in creating things I love but also in helping others succeed. Today, as the CTO of WebriQ, I lead an exceptional team of individuals whose talents often surpass my own.

At WebriQ, we know the process inside out. We have established tried-and-true systems that ensure our clients get exactly what they need to succeed in their businesses. More than just service providers, we see ourselves as your partners from day one!

I believe that the path to greatness lies in serving the many, and I’ve been paying it forward ever since. I lead/co-lead several tech communities in Cebu, including Laravel Cebu (formerly), React Cebu, and JavaScript Cebu. Alongside a group of passionate and dedicated individuals, I help organize awesome events—meetups, workshops, and more—to benefit the community. 💯

As an educator, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring aspiring developers, conducting workshops, and speaking at various tech conferences. Sharing knowledge and seeing others grow has been incredibly fulfilling. My technical expertise spans JavaScript, React, Node.js, and more, enabling me to tackle a wide range of challenges and innovate continuously. Today, I host Learn With Dorell ↗, a platform where I continue to share my knowledge and insights.
